问题描述
Education Site Licenses, Esri Developer Network (EDN) licenses, and some other ArcGIS for Server licenses are valid for a specific period of time. Geodatabases that were authorized with one of these licenses must be updated with a new authorization file when the existing one expires.

Instructions provided describe the steps to update these licenses.

Beginning with ArcGIS 10.1, a message is returned when connecting to an enterprise geodatabase that contains an expired license. To update the license, do the following:

  1. Connect directly to the geodatabase as the geodatabase administrator. • In most geodatabases, this is the sde user. In dbo-schema geodatabases in SQL Server, it is a login that is dbo in the database. • For user-schema geodatabases in Oracle, update the license key in the master sde geodatabase first, and then connect as the schema owner and update the key in the user-schema geodatabase.
  2. Specify a valid ArcGIS Server keycodes file in the 'Update ArcGIS Server License' dialog box and click OK to authorize.
