【问题描述】
The instructions provided describe how to enable transparency for selected features within a feature class in ArcMap. The selected features must be exported to a new feature class or shapefile before applying transparency.


ArcMap does not support different transparency levels on a single feature class or shapefile.

    1. Use the Select By Attributes tool to select the features with the desired attributes. Navigate to Selection > Select by Attributes. Instructions for using this tool can be found in the following ArcGIS Help document: Using Select By Attributes. Alternatively, features may be selected from the attribute table, or by using the Select Features tool from the toolbar.
    2. Export the selected features to a new feature class or shapefile. Right-click the layer in the Table of Contents, and navigate to Data > Export Data. The following ArcGIS Help document: Exporting selected features with the Export Data command describes the steps to export features.
    3. Select 'Yes' when prompted to add the exported data to ArcMap as a layer. Once the new layer is added to the data frame, transparency can be applied.
    4. Right-click the layer in the Table Of Contents, and select Properties.
    5. In the Layer Properties window, select the Display tab, and input the desired percentage value for transparency.
    6. To view the transparent features over pre-existing features, use the Table of Contents (display by Drawing Order) and drag the layer to the top of the list.
