Howto: 创建热备许可管理器

摘要： 该文章详细描述了在包含多台许可服务器情况下创建热备许可服务器的步骤，这个功能在ArcGIS8.2以及以上版本中包含。以前的版本只能用于ArcInfo Workstation。桌面产品不能用。当使用热备许可管理器的时候会报"All ArcInfo license are in use"的错误。
ArcGIS 9.x软件只能用于ArcGIS9.x许可管理器，ArcGIS8.x软件只能用于ArcGIS8.x许可管理器。
内容： 以下步骤是一个模拟环境，目的是阐述这个概念。
相关机器(机器名和操作系统)
"XP" - Windows XP
"2003" - Windows 2003 Server (这台机器作为许可管理服务器）
“UNIX” - UNIX（这台机器作为许可管理服务器）
机器2003和XP使用的是2003上的许可管理器。 机器"UNIX"使用的是本机上的许可管理器。

目标：
2003首先在2003上查找空闲的许可。如果2003上所有许可都在使用，机器应该使用UNIX机器作为其许可管理服务器。
在2003和XP上设置以下环境变量。

Windows 7:
A. Navigate to Start > Control Panel.
B. Click Category and select Small Icons.
C. Double-click System.
D. Click Advanced system settings.
E. Click the Environment Variables button.
F. Add, edit, or delete a variable.
G. Click OK.
Windows Vista:
A. Navigate to Start > Control Panel.
B. Click Classic view.
C. Double-click System.
D. Click Advanced system settings.
E. Click the Environment Variables button.
F. Add, edit, or delete a variable.
G. Click OK.
Windows XP/2003

A. Right-click My Computer and select Properties.
B. Click the Advanced tab.
C. Click the Environment Variables button.
D. Add, edit, or delete a variable.
E. Click OK.
Windows 2000:
A. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
B. Double-click the System icon.
C. Select the Advanced tab.
D. Select the Environment Variables button.
E. Add, edit, or delete a variable.
F. Click OK.
Windows NT:
A. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
B. Double-click the System icon.
C. Select the Environment tab.
D. To edit an existing variable, select a System variable. Modify the value.
E. To add a new variable, select a System variable, and type a new name and value in the respective fields.
F. Click Set, Apply, and OK.
Windows Millennium Edition:
A. Click Start > Run.
B. In the Open box and type msconfig. Click OK.
C. Click the Environment tab; click New.
D. Enter the Variable and Value information and click OK.
E. While in the Environment tab, click the check box that corresponds to the new entry.
F. Click the General tab and select Normal Startup from the Startup selection.
G. Click OK and Yes to restart the computer.
